Zeus Memorial Fund
Friend, companion, working dog, ambassador for the Malamute breed and now Hero. Zeus was tragically killed on December 7th 2010 by an intruder. True to the magnificent nature and loving devotion of the Malamute breed, Zeus positioned himself between the stranger and his family’s two children and would not yield. Zeus' family has requested that a Memorial Fund be created in his honour to help Malamutes in need.

Zeus' family has turned his tragic death into a charitable opportunity to help other Malamutes across Canada. His unselfish act, which cost him his life, will live on through the AMHL Zeus Memorial Fund. Recipients of the fund are announced each year in the Winter issue of the Help League Howler.
